Welcome to Business North Carolina's weekly podcast, serving up interviews with some of the Tar Heel State's most interesting people. On today's episode, we are joined by Erik Johnson, co-founder and partner of Charlotte-based private real estate-investment group White Point, one of the developers behind the Queen City's Optimist Hall. Erik discusses the history behind Charlotte's first food hall housed in the former Highland Park Gingham Mill, which once operated as the city's largest textile mill. The space is also home to Duke Energy's office space and dozens of food, beverage and retail vendors. He also talks about challenges faced over the past year and how Optimist Hall pivoted during the pandemic.
