This week's podcast features Kathleen Murphy, the president of Personal Investing at Boston-based Fidelity Investments. Overseeing a business unit managing $3 trillion in client assets, Murphy regularly ranks among the nation's most powerful women in business and finance according to national business publications. In November, she spoke at an NC Chamber virtual conference on women in business. Fidelity employs more than 3,000 people in North Carolina, mainly at its large Durham operations center, and it is hiring several hundred more across the state because of increased demand for financial services and planning.
